Job Summary

The University of Cape Town is seeking a vice-chancellor to provide academic and executive leadership. The university, considered to be the best on the continent, enrols about 29 000 students and employs close to 6 500 staff members. It is engaged in a process of self-reflection and transformation. An attractive candidate will have the ability to lead this change as well as to ensure good management of the institution.

We offer a competitive annual remuneration package, including benefits. Appointment to this position is on the basis of a five-year contract and the contract is renewable subject to a satisfactory performance review.
