The School is seeking to make one appointment in the area of macroeconomics. The post is at the Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor level.

The School of Economics at UCT has a strong research focus and several active research units. Its PhD programme draws students from across Africa and the rest of the world.
Applicants are required to have completed a PhD in Economics or cognate discipline, have an established research record including peer-reviewed publications in internationally acknowledged and ranked/rated journals, and extensive experience in postgraduate teaching and supervising in the field of macroeconomics. A preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the field of money and banking.
