MINIMUM QUALIFICATION &

EXPERIENCE

·       A Master’s-level degree (i.e. M Tech / Masters / NQF 9 or equivalent) in Education/ Higher Education or any other relevant field

·       3-5 years relevant teaching, learning and curriculum design experience in Higher Education or in any Higher Education related field

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

·       5-8 years relevant teaching, learning and curriculum design experience I Higher Education or equivalent

MAIN TASKS

1.   Guide and support faculties with conceptualisation, development and delivery of academic programmes in line with the University’s and national curriculum development policies and frameworks.

2.   Facilitate, monitor and evaluate academic staff development initiatives within faculties.

 

3.   Comply with and implement policies and operational plans for the unit and the university

4.   Conduct research on curriculum, teaching, learning, assessments and higher education context

5.   Provide reports internally and to other stakeholder as required by the line manager and the university

6.   Participate in Community Engagement/ Services Learning initiatives
