The School of Mechanical, Industrial & Aeronautical Engineering invites applications for appointment at the level of Senior Lecturer.
Degrees in the School are internationally accredited and a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes are offered. The School has a strong team of dedicated staff and excellent facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A PhD in Industrial Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Engineering are essential. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of scholarship/teaching and be research active in Operations Management with focus areas of quality management and project management. S/he will conduct and supervise research at all levels. A record of substantial research funding will be advantageous. The successful candidate will have a proven record of interactions with industry and the profession.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the basic material pertaining to undergraduate Industrial Engineering courses, and the background to be able to be registered as a Professional Engineer, if not already registered in SA.
