Lecturer: Accounting

Job Summary
Mainly responsible for teaching and learning and to support the Department and Faculty in pursuit of its academic objectives. Responsibilities may also include curriculum development, research, community engagement, administration and health and safety in
  • A Master's degree in Financial Accounting/ Auditing/ Internal Auditing
  • A professional Accounting qualification [CA (SA) / CIA/ ACCA]
  • Minimum of three years lecturing experience in a university, or
  • Minimum of three years research /industry experience
Key Performance Areas:
  • Lecturing Internal Auditing 2, 3 & 4 and Auditing 2 & 3.
  • Lecturing other Accounting related subjects if required.
  • Perform any administrative duties required of the post.
  • Conduct research and practice community involvement in accordance with university policies.
  • Participate in departmental activities.

  • Expertise in subject areas: Accounting and Internal Auditing
  • Proven lecturing/ teaching skills
  • Strong professional and work ethics
  • Good end user computer skills and knowledge of technology assisted teaching
  • Sound interpersonal relationship
