Clinical Practice Officer (P10)

Main purpose of the job
To provide academic, administrative, and technical assistance to the Biomedical Technology programme (DoHS)

Main tasks
  1. Teaching, learning and assessment
  2. Implementation of WIL in Biomedical Technology
  3. Administration
  4. Technical assistance
  5. Liaise with employers to negotiate placements for WIL

Nature of appointment - Fixed-Term Support Services (until 31 Dec 2024)

Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company) - R 428 075 per annum

Note: CUT applies an internal parity model to determine remuneration that complies with the principle of "equal pay for work of equal value". Accordingly, the preferred candidate may expect an offer that is in line with their qualifications and years of similar experience. Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
  • B Tech in Biomedical Technology / National Higher Diploma in Medical Technology/ BHSc in Medical Laboratory Science
  • HPCSA registration as a medical technologist in Clinical pathology
  • Valid code EB drivers' licence
  • Must be able and willing to travel
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
  • M Tech in Biomedical Technology
  • Higher education experience
  • Relevant training of WIL students
  • 3 Years post HPCSA registration (Clinical pathology) as a medical technologist in an HPCSA/SANAS accredited laboratory
